Holy Show is a magazine of contemporary life and culture as seen through the eyes of Ireland’s artists. It adapts stories from the artists and their projects to the printed page. It showcases work from a diverse range of forms, like theatre, film, dance, music, visual art, and draws out compelling non-fiction narratives and critical writings that help us to understand who we are, where we’ve come from and where we’re going as a society. It’s also wildly funny in parts; profound at times, sad or sinister at others; agus an-álainn. It attempts at every turn to avoid being shite craic.
Holy Show Productions is our events wing. It began with an idea to showcase the work of a contributing artist in collaboration with a film-maker. It has turned into a 10-date tour of arts festivals and venues across Ireland. More details anseo. We’re now keeping an eye out for other collaborations between writers and artists for future productions.
